Pool Filter Cleaning & Replacement
Keep your pool water crystal clear with professional filter maintenance and replacement.

Why Your Pool Filter Matters
Your pool filter is the hardest working piece of equipment you own. It runs for hours every day, removing dirt, debris, oils, and microscopic particles that make water cloudy. Without a clean, properly functioning filter, your pool cannot stay clear no matter how many chemicals you add.
Most Winter Haven pool owners neglect their filters until problems appear. Cloudy water, weak flow, or high pressure readings all signal filter issues. By then, your pump works harder, your electric bill increases, and your water quality suffers. Regular filter cleaning prevents these problems and extends your equipment life.
Signs Your Filter Needs Professional Attention
Recognizing filter problems early saves you money and frustration. Your equipment tells you when it needs help if you know what to look for.
Filter Services We Provide
We service all filter types found in Winter Haven pools. Whether you have a sand filter, cartridge filter, or DE (diatomaceous earth) filter, our technicians know the proper cleaning methods for each system.
- •Cartridge filter deep cleaning and inspection
- •Sand filter backwashing and media replacement
- •DE filter cleaning and fresh diatomaceous earth application
- •Filter cartridge replacement with proper size and type
- •O-ring and seal inspection and replacement
- •Pressure gauge testing and calibration
- •Complete filter system inspection for leaks or damage
- •Flow rate testing to ensure optimal performance
During filter cleaning, we also check your pump, valves, and plumbing connections. Many filter problems actually stem from issues elsewhere in your system. We identify these problems before they cause expensive damage or leave you with a non-functioning pool.
How Often Filters Need Cleaning
Cartridge filters need deep cleaning every 4 to 6 months depending on pool use and debris levels. Sand filters should be backwashed weekly or when pressure rises 8 to 10 PSI above normal. DE filters require cleaning every 1 to 3 months. Florida pools work harder than pools in other states because of our year-round swimming season and heavy pollen.
Many homeowners try to clean filters themselves but miss critical steps. Cartridges need proper soaking in cleaning solution, not just a quick rinse with a hose. DE filters require precise amounts of new DE powder after cleaning. Mistakes lead to poor filtration, cloudy water, and shortened filter life.
We include filter checks in our weekly pool cleaning service. When your filter needs attention, we handle it immediately before small issues become big problems. Pairing regular cleaning with our equipment repair service keeps your entire pool system running perfectly year-round.
